What our current Staff have to say

Camp Australia works hard to create an enjoyable and flexible working environment for all of our staff. Here's what Camp Australia staff have to say:

George Saleh South Yarra, Victoria

I’ve been with the company for almost three years now and every day is a reward. Every day when I’m in the car driving home I’m thinking what an amazing day it was

Alasdair Rodgers East Bentleigh, Victoria

It’s a really positive, fun environment to be in and the kids make coming to work a joy.

Kylie Parks Central Coast, NSW

I come from a family day care background and did that for about eight years before coming across to school-aged children and I just love it.

Karl Manua Flemington, Victoria

One of the most rewarding moments is when the kids come back after they’ve finished school to visit. I’ve had maybe 10 or 12 come back to see me.

Answer
People who have a passion for working with kids, have the legal right to work in Australia for at least 6 months and have or are able to obtain a Working With Children Check.
Answer
Caring for children is a very important position, and for this reason, national regulations require all staff to hold an appropriate Working with Children check. Each state of Australia has a different name for it either: Blue Card, Police Clearance or a Working with Children Check.
Answer
We actively encourage participation in development programs, with all staff able to participate in career sessions. Individual staff are able to participate in different career pathways with mentoring and workshops provided. We also offer an exclusive Leadership Program that provides advanced skills to selected Educators.
Answer
If you have completed training in First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis Management in the last 12 months you will hold all the certifications required to work in our programs. If your last refresher training was more than 12 months ago, you will need to update your training either before or immediately after starting work with us, but we make that easy by helping you do that through our Registered Training Organisation Partners. Don't have first aid certificates? No problem. Submit your application and you can access discounted training through the Camp Australia Training Team.
Answer
With hundreds of programs across Australia we are always looking for capable staff with the right attitude. If you are only available a few days a week, we still encourage you to apply. There are times when our regular staff take holidays, are sick and absent from work or have changes in their personal availability. Emergency and Relief Staff form an essential part of the Camp Australia Team.
Answer
We don't employ staff to work solely during holiday periods. In order to ensure we have staff that are adequately trained to work at one of our Holiday Clubs, we only employ staff who also work at Camp Australia during the school term. If you become available during the school term, we encourage you to apply. Remember, as our sessions run outside school hours, you don't need to be available for the whole day to work with us.
