What we look for

We have a wide range of roles available across Australia, encompassing Before School Care and After School Care programs, Holiday Clubs (which operate during school holidays), Sports Coaching and weekend Events.  From time to time, we also advertise management and administration roles based in our State Offices.

While each Camp Australia role may have specific selection criteria, what unites all successful applicants is their passion and desire to share life experiences with others and postively impact the lives of kids.

We seek people who are:

  • Caring and thoughtful.

What are we looking for?

Depending on whether you're looking to work with kids assisting the running of a program as an Assistant, or to run your own service as the Coordinator, there are a few things we're on the look-out for when you apply.

For all positions, we look for people who

  • Have a passion for working with kids
  • Are currently in Australia
  • Have the legal right to work in Australia for at least 6 months
  • Have, or are able to obtain a Working With Children Check or equivalent (click here for more information)

School Aged Care 

Coordinator

 

As a Coordinator, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering a fun and engaging program for the kids at your service.

For a Coordinator position, we look for someone who:

  • Is available every morning and afternoon on weekdays (or afternoons-only for some services)
  • Displays leadership and administration ability
  • Has or obtains an appropriate Working with Children Check or equivalent (click here for more information)
  • Has or obtains relevant First Aid certificates (click here for more information)
  • Either has a relevant qualification, or is willing to begin studying one (click here for more information, or click here to learn about our studying through our RTO)

School Aged Care 

Assistant                                                                       

 

As an Assistant you will support the Coordinator in providing a fun and safe environment for the kids while supervising and facilitating activities.

For an assistant position we look for someone who:

  • Is available at least 3 afternoons per week
  • Has or can obtain an appropriate Working with Children Check or equivalent (click here for more information)
  • Has or is willing to obtain relevant First Aid certificates (click here for more information)

Support Worker 

for kids with special needs

 

This very special role works with children who have additional needs.

For these positions we look for people who are have all the qualities of an Assistant, with the addition of an interest in working with kids with special needs. Specific experience is helpful, but is not required. 

 

Qualifications

Professional qualifications are also increasingly important, but don't let that be too much of an obstacle. Being a Registered Training Organisation, we're fully geared up to help you gain the right qualifications.
