CHC51008 Diploma of Children's Services (Outside school hours care)

This qualification covers workers who are responsible for day to day running of a before and after school care and/or vacation care service, including planning, implementing and managing programs which address licensing, accreditation and duty of care requirements.

Course duration: 24 months via correspondence

Even before you complete it, if you're actively studying this course you are qualified to work as an OSHC Coordinator with Camp Australia in most states. For more information about Qualification requirements, click here.  

CHC50908 Diploma of Children's Services (Early childhood education and care)

This qualification covers workers who are responsible for planning, implementing and managing programs in early childhood services, in accordance with licensing, accreditation and duty of care requirements.  It is a requirement of this qualification that students undertake 90 hours of practical work placement in a child care centre covering children's ages 0 - 5 years; this is arranged by the student at a time that is suitable to their individual work schedules.  This placement is undertaken as unpaid work.

Course duration: 24 months via correspondence which includes 90 hours of practical work placement

CHC41208 Certificate IV in Children's Services (Outside school hours care)

This qualification covers workers who conduct vacation programs as well as before and after school care activities for children of school aged.

Duration: 18 months via correspondence

Even before you complete it, if you're actively studying this course you are qualified to work as an OSHC Assistant with Camp Australia in states which require a qualification. Once you complete the course, you are eligble to work as a Coordinator in Western Australia. For more information about Qualification requirements, click here.  

CHC30708 Certificate III in Children's Services

This qualification covers workers who use organisation policies, procedures and individual children's profiles to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes.  Depending on the setting, workers may work under direct supervision or autonomously. It is a requirement of this qualification that students undertake 90 hours of practical work placement in a child care centre covering children's ages 0 - 5 years; this is arranged by the student at a time that is suitable to their individual work schedules.  This placement is undertaken as unpaid work.

Duration: 18 months via correspondence, which includes 90 hours of practical work placement

Evidence of Prior Learning

Camp Australia will recognise any Qualification, Statement of Attainment or Units of Competency achieved under the Australian Qualifications Framework.  Any unit or qualifications completed with Camp Australia will also be recognised by any other Registered Training Organisation throughout Australia, irrespective of the State or Territory in which they were awarded.
