All Camp Australia staff:
- Have a valid Working with Children Check, Blue Card, Police or
Criminal History Check - in-house recruitment and screening
processes ensures this important step is undertaken and reviewed
regularly;
- Attain relevant child care qualifications (Diploma or
Certificate) prior to working within the program or through
on-the-job training and study through Camp Australia's Registered
Training Organisation;
- Are medically trained and certified for First Aid, CPR and
Anaphylaxis Management, with training reviewed annually through
nationally recognised training facilitated by Camp Australia;
and
- Receive continuing education, development, support and training
to increase their knowledge and practical application within
the before and after school care industry.
Hundreds of people apply to be part of the Camp Australia Team
each week, from these applications and extensive screening
processes, the successful applicants begin their Camp Australia
journey.
Commencing with a fun and thorough induction program, all staff
clearly understand the expectations and are equipped to help kids
reach their full potential. Further ongoing training and support is
provided through a 'buddy' program, regular visits, a dedicated
staff hotline and training through the Camp Australia Registered
Training Organisation.

Casual and Emergency Staff placement
With arguably Australia's largest casual pool of experienced,
qualified and certified child care staff, Camp Australia are sure

understand that from time to time regular staff may be absent due
to illness or some other unforseen reason and it is vital programs
have access to qualified and motivated staff at short notice.
