How we comply

Camp Australia are the specialists in the implementation of National, State and Local Regulations and Legislation ensuring families have access to the care they need and deserve.

We lead the way in the implementation of the new National Quality Framework working with Government and investing in development and training. All outside of school care services are now required to adhere to the strict standards and regulations set out by the National Quality Framework.

Camp Australia Before and After School Care programs are fully compliant, surpassing requirements set out including ratios, qualifications, environment and reporting. In addition to meeting all Government Regulations, all Camp Australia services are eligible for the Child Care Rebate and Child Care Benefit.

High quality before and after school care programs should complement schools not strain resources.  We have worked with Government, schools and communities to ensure services are effective, compliant and well supported.

Compliance and support is delivered through effective administration, staff, management and programming.

Administration

  • Licensing applications, variations and renewals - streamlined, tested process developed with Government;
  • Policies and procedures on service delivery - nationally consistent set of policies meeting the new National Quality Framework requirements;
  • Notifications for incidents, complaints and non-compliance Action Plan Reports - long-established procedures and processes mean staff are alert to, and experienced in, the identification and notification of incidents, as well as in providing preventative solutions; and
  • Record keeping - Information management practices for staff records, enrolment and information displayed at services reviewed by Government departments meet all requirements of the National Quality Framework.

Assessment

Staff are trained in supporting services during the Rating and Assessment process and meet and work with the Assessor during scheduled visits.  In addition, periodic visits are undertaken through each school Term to ensure staff are fully supported.  Additional 'spot visits' by the Operations team are also performed to reinforce continuous improvement of the service in line with the Rating and Assessment process.
