Our People

Staff and Training

We are a people business and continue to invest to ensure our team is fully supported and engaged. We have more than 2,500 staff members in the Camp Australia family and how we care for them directly impacts on the professional and special care they give the children in our programs. Our recruitment, induction and development of staff include the following key elements:

Staff Attraction and Recruitment

Our Recruitment Team is focused on finding the right staff for your school that are passionate about childcare and are local to your Service. We ensure they are well matched for your school community and appreciate the individual nature of your school.

Onboarding

Once "on board" our staff are fully supported in their new role. Staff are given a comprehensive induction on commencement with us and become part of our "buddy" program to ensure they settle into their roles with ease. On-site support visits are also conducted regularly.

Professional Development

All staff have the opportunity to gain industry qualifications through our in-house Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Our RTO is a nationally recognised institution; all qualifications that we offer are part of the Australian Qualifications Framework and are developed to meet industry needs.

Staff Qualification Ticks

Throughout the year, staff are invited to a minimum of 4 paid professional development sessions regarding industry and childcare specific issues as well as peer support skills and development opportunities.

Ongoing Support

Our staff members are supported with one-on-one meetings, regional support network groups and Service visits. We also have a Dedicated Hotline for all staff working in OSHC that provides priority access for them to speak with our support team about the management of their Service.
